E. Glover, seconded by Frank C. Vickers and carried, were approved by the, Board. The Board then proceeded to approve the commissions due the Assessor of Taxes, W. R. County, General School School District #1. Mitchell, Attorney, advised the Board that Vero Beach is being considered as headquarters for the new Southeastern Health District which is to be established on October ast. Dr. E. F. Hoffman, Director of the Bureau Epidemiology of the Board of Health, was in the city Tuesday in conference with local health authorities. If suitable quarters can be rented Vero Beach will be the logical place for headquarters. Indian River, Brevard, Osceola, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach Counties will comprise the new district. The new district will make public health facilities available in these counties. The district will be staffed with a health of- ficer, nurse, sanitarian and clerk. Prime duties of the staff will be general public health work as well as some supervision of public health functions being promoted by individual county ;health departments. Mr. Mitchell further stated that space for the headquarters office is being ,considered, on the second floor of the Seminole Building, at a special rental concession by the owners. The Board agreed to underwrite a rental not to exceed $50.00 per month for this space, cif necessary, and it is thought the city will furnish water and electricity. The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and found correct, were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. Such bills and ac- counts being on file in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed in the Supplemental Minute Book, as provided by the ruled of the State Aiditor, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of these minutes. The County Depository filed its monthly statement, showing receipt and disbursements jof the various funds, which having been audited were found to be correct.
