V <br />I, <br />l <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />The minutes of the previous meetinep were read and approved. <br />Notary Public Bond in the sum of $500'.00 for J. A. Harms with Massachusetts Bonding <br />,and Insurance Company of Boston, Massachusetts, as surety was approved June 21, 1946 by Douglas <br />,Baker, Clerk Circuit Court as provided by Law. <br />Robert Gramling of the Florida Parole Commission appeared before the Board requesting <br />i, <br />;'office space for their new district office in the Court House in Vero Beach. Mr. Gramling stat <br />ed that Mr. 'victor Butler of Cocoa would be the new supervisor. The Board agreed to provide s; <br />i:space for this office and instructed Douglas Baker, Clerk, to so:., advise the Florida Parole <br />;o <br />Commission. <br />i <br />!j At the request of J. Pasco Woods, representing the American Legion in behalf of 'dill% <br />�jRimes,the Huard approved grocery orders not to exceed the sum of $40.00 for the month of July <br />Ifor the welfare of Willie Rimes and family. Said orders to be renewed for the month of August <br />iprovided necessary. <br />Verdict of Coronor's Jury in the matter of the inquest on the body of Effie Mae Bell,. <br />!Fellsmere, Florida, was received and ordered filed with the Clerk. <br />J. R. Middleton, A. -W. Foster, Mrs. Freda Schumann, A. 4. Rose , F. G. 'Hunter and <br />!`Mr. Emery, all citizens of Sebastian residing on or near Louisiana Avenue in Sebastian, appearedi <br />,!before the Board and -requested immediate repairs be made on Louisiana Avenue stating that the <br />road was in terrible and almost impassible condition. The Board stated they were very much in <br />',s7mpathy with said request; however, they preferred not to take action until the Commissioner.--- <br />Honorable <br />.omm.issioner. <br />Honorable Frank C. Vickers of that district returned home from his vacation. <br />a <br />County Deeds Nos. 225 to 235 inclusive were signed by the Board as provided by <br />iChapter 194, Florida Statutes of 1941. <br />The Board authorized groceries not to exceed the sum of $40.00 for Mrs. M. W. Yates, <br />pFellbmere, Florida, until the further orders of the Board. <br />The following were, -appointed Deputy Sheriff by L. B. O'Steen, Sheriff, and 'Douglas <br />�Baker, Clerk, announced that said appointments had been filed with him: <br />Nave Precint No. Address <br />J. S. Culpepper 2 Sebastian, Florida <br />j J. A. S. <br />i <br />Fidelity and Guaranty.Company as surety was approved. <br />Application for Guy Sullivan, Vero Beach, Florida, was received for a position as <br />1�fireman with the Indian River County Fire Protector Association, and the said application was <br />ordered filed for future consideration with Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />i; Alice Helleso, County Nurse, appeared before the Board and made a report of her act- <br />Iivities for, the month of June. Said report was ordered filed in the Clerk's Office and made a <br />,;,,part of these minutes. <br />X. A. Boudet, County Agent, filed a report of his activities for the month of June. <br />;Said report was ordered filed by the Clerk and made a part of these mitutes. <br />T. W.
