<br />The Board then considered the County Budget and Budget estimates as prepared by the
<br />Board at its meeting of July 2, 1946, and duly advertised, as provided by Law' in the Vero
<br />!!Beach Press Journal, in its issues of July $,and 12, 1946. Thereupon Commissioner R. W. Graves
<br />;introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption to -wit:

<br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Eommissioners has made and completed the estimate of its
<br />11�necessary and ordinary expenses and of all special and extraordingry expenditures contemplated,

<br />jas required by law, and has duly advertised the same as required by law and this being the first

<br />of the various funds, which having been audited were found to be correct.

<br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
<br />The Board then proceeded with the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for Indian
<br />{River County for the year 1946 and, after careful consideration of the estimated receipts and
<br />'expenditures, the following resolution was introduced by Commissioner R. W. Graves who moved
<br />'its adoption, to wit: t

<br />!!and preliminary to the levy of taxes in Indian River Countyq Florida for the year 194$; and,

<br />WHEREAS, the respective boards and taxing districts being authorized to fig and levy
<br />taxes upon property situated within Indian River County, Florida, as provided by law, fixed
<br />such tax levies and have certified the same to this Board and this Board having considered the
<br />(same and having then found them to be proper, therefore be it resolved that;
<br />Estimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners of INDIAN RIVER MOSQUITQ, CON-
<br />TROL DISTRICT,, and a certified copy of the resolution filed with this Board, as required by law,!
<br />;rand as estimated by the Board of Commissioners, it is determined and hereby declared that a tag
<br />(rate of Three and one-half (3.5) mills upon the do;lar be levied, and is hereby fixed and as-
<br />loessed for the year 19469 on all of the property taxable for such purpose as provided by law in
<br />!the County of Indian River, lying and being within the boundaries of said Indian River Mosquito
<br />duly considered; therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED that the said County Commissioner -'s budget and
<br />estimate of expenses
<br />'land expenditures for the year,1946-1947 as heretofore prepared anal duly
<br />advertised and it is
<br />herewith ratified, confirmed, and finally adopted by
<br />this Board.
