<br />Vero Beach, Florida at 10:00,A. M. Tuesday, November 5, 1946, in regular meeting with the

<br />following members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman; Frank C. Vickers, R. W.
<br />Graves, S. E. Glover, and Albert 0. Helseth. Also present were Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney;
<br />E. E. Carter, County Engineer; L. B. O'Steen, Sheriff; and Douglas Baker, Clerk.
<br />ThOpminutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
<br />Application for admission to the Florida State Tuberculosis Sanitorium, Orlando,
<br />was approved October 221 1946 for Martha Parker, Vero Beach.
<br />Application for admission to the Florida State Tuberculosis Sanitorium, Orlando,
<br />was approved for J. A. Stevens' 1822 Wilbur Avenue, Vero Beach, November 2, 1946,
<br />Mr. I. F. Stinson appeared before the Board and requested a fire truck owned by the
<br />I'Indian River Fire Protective association be stationed at Wabasso for protection of the Wabasso-ii
<br />!Fellsmere area. Chairman Graves representing the Board of County Commissioners suggested that
<br />;he together with Mr. Stinson confer with Mr. Warren T. Zeuch of the Indian River Fire Protective'
<br />iAssociation in order that satisfactory plans and arrangements might be made to meet the request
<br />of Mr. Stinson in the matter.
<br />A letter was received from Mrs. Ida G. Dixon, Clerk; Fellsmere, Florida, wanting to
<br />fire
<br />purchase the forementioned/truck owned by the Iffdian River Fire Protective Association, and
<br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to advise Mrs. Dixon that the truck was not for sale, but
<br />would likely be stationed at or near Wabasso for the protection of the citizens residing in
<br />,the Wabasso-Fellsmere area.
