<br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
<br />jCounty Deed No. 276 was executed by the Board under provisions of.Chapter 22079,
<br />?, Acts of 1943. !`
<br />Application to transfer beverage license No. 26 fromEarl Duffield to William Hall
<br />(Hall's Grocery) located on Dixie highway hotth of Sebastian was approved. 4!
<br />Application to transfer name only (same individuali' license No. 28) from Alberta
<br />Barkley to Alberta Martin (Martin's Cafe) Gifford, Florida, was approved.

<br />�f Miss Durrance from the Red Cross appeared before the Board regarding the Willie
<br />pRimes case and requested approximately $160.00 for a tent, flooring, etc. thereby providing
<br />should
<br />11living quarters for the said Willie Rimes family. Miss Durrance stated that. this kount
<br />The granted a� in her opinion, no further financial checks or assistance to the Rimes j
<br />lifamily would be necessary. The request as made by Miss Durrance was granted by the Board.

<br />Mrs. Radin presented hospital report with regard to County patients and the financial
<br />'status of same. Said report was received and ordered filed by the Clerk.

<br />On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board decided to discontinue $50.00
<br />deductible collision and comprehensive insurance on 1947 Ford one-half ton Pick-up truck,
<br />I Motor No. 799C-1316989, F. W, RbdenUartr agent.
<br />The Boatd authorized payment of $25.00 from the General Revenue Fund to Pauline
<br />Allen and grocery orders in the sum of $10.00 per week for welfare until the further orders
<br />of the Board. I,,
<br />Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney9was requested to prepare Notice for Bids to buy and/or
<br />buy and lease the building on the east end of the Winter Beach bridge, said notice returnable
<br />Tuesday, November 4, 1947.
<br />It was ordered W. H. Walker, Winter Beach bridge tendef, be given notice that his
<br />services are no longer needed or necessary, and that same would be discontinued as of October
<br />109 1947, and that he should be paid to this date.
<br />$ E S O L U T I O N
<br />Commissioner Helpling introduced the following Resulution and moved its adoption as
<br />follows, to -wits
<br />RESOLVED that E. E. Carter, County Engineer of Indian River bounty, is herewith
<br />�jauthorized and directed to contact War Assets Administration and any and all other departments,
<br />jbureaus, and ,agencies of the federal government for the purpose of obtaining equipment and
<br />aterial to relieve and rehabilitate distress and damage caused by the recent hurricane and
<br />r
<br />(flood and to obtain such equipment and -material,
<br />I
<br />l BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be delivered to
<br />far. Carter as evidencing his authority hereby and thata certified copy be furnished to any
<br />Ifederal agency', authority, bureau or department requesting the same.
<br />Motion for the adoption of the Resolution was made by Commissioner Helseth and
<br />iunanimously carried.
<br />Mrs. Maude Lambert was employed,on a trial basis, as County Nurse effective October 1,1

<br />11947, at a salary of $175.00 per month.
