QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES: <br />QUESTION NO. 1 <br />Regarding the sod — can you clarify the sod installation specification? Is it the intent of Section 570-9 to <br />include 1 year maintenance in the unit price of sod? If yes, will this include 1 year of mowing? <br />ANSWER NO. 1 <br />There is a one (1) year maintenance bond for all construction including sod. Mowing is required by <br />Contractor until final acceptance of project by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />QUESTION NO. 2A <br />Regarding the Herbicide required in the plan notes/note 20 — can you clarify what is required to meet the <br />specification? What type? <br />ANSWER NO. 2A <br />The herbicide used should be selected by your licensed applicator as the most appropriate for the <br />application. <br />QUESTION NO. 2B <br />Regarding the Herbicide required in the plan notes/note 20 — can you clarify what is required to meet the <br />specification? What is the target? <br />ANSWER NO. 2B <br />All underbrush including native, non-native, and exotic/invasive should be targeted to prevent <br />regeneration without secondary damage to canopy trees. <br />QUESTION NO. 2C <br />Regarding the Herbicide required in the plan notes/note 20 — can you clarify what is required to meet the <br />specification? Where will it be applied? <br />ANSWER NO. 2C <br />As determined by the applicator depending on potential seed sources present, the application could <br />include but is not limited to all underbrush prior to clearing and mulching, and at minimum all woody <br />stumps should be treated by the appropriate cut -stump method. The intent is to prevent regeneration <br />and allow the mulched park ground to remain vegetation free. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />F.
