SECTION 01009 <br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. Visits to the construction site may be made by representatives of permitting or <br />governing bodies. Submit details of all instructions from the above to the <br />ENGINEER immediately. The Work will not be accepted by the OWNER until final <br />acceptance has been received from the various Regulatory Agencies having <br />jurisdiction. <br />B. Furnish sufficient labor, construction equipment and materials, and work such <br />hours, including night shifts and overtime operations, as may be necessary to insure <br />the prosecution of the work in accordance with the approved progress schedule. If, <br />in the opinion of the ENGINEER, the CONTRACTOR falls behind the progress <br />schedule, take such steps as may be necessary to improve progress, all without <br />additional cost to the OWNER. The ENGINEER shall be compensated for his <br />overtime services in accordance with the Supplementary Conditions, SC -6.02. <br />C. All salvageable material and equipment for which specific use, relocation or other <br />disposal is not specifically noted, shall remain the property of the OWNER and shall <br />be delivered to the OWNER at the following location: 4550 41st Street, at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense. All material and equipment not in salvageable <br />condition, as determined by the ENGINEER and the OWNER, shall be disposed of <br />by the CONTRACTOR, at the CONTRACTOR's expense. <br />D. In addition to these Specifications all work must comply with the requirements of the <br />local governing agency, St. Johns River Water Management District, Department of <br />Environmental Protection, Army Corps of Engineers, Indian River Farms Water <br />Control District, and all other applicable State or Federal agencies' specifications <br />and permits. In the event of a conflict, the more stringent specification or <br />requirement shall govern. <br />E. Before performing any work outside the designated limits of the work site, secure <br />any necessary permits and authorization from the applicable owner, or verify in <br />writing that such has been previously obtained. Follow all requirements of any said <br />permits or authorization. Give the ENGINEER and appropriate owner ten (10) days <br />minimum notice before commencing construction operations outside the designated <br />limits of the work site. <br />F Due to the magnitude of work required by the Utility Owners to relocate power <br />distribution poles for the proposed right turn lane and intersection improvements at <br />28th Court, Station 202+00 to 207+00, the Contractor is hereby notified that the work <br />for the right turn lane and intersection improvements must be scheduled in the latter <br />stages of the project to avoid delays in construction of the remainder of the project. <br />01009-1 01009 -Special Provisions <br />F:\Public Works\ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS \1506 -Gifford Neighborhood 45th St Beautification\Admin\bid documents\Master <br />Contract Documents\01009 - Special Provisions.doc <br />
