ARTICLE 33 <br />INCENTIVE PAY <br />33.01 An employee of the District who has successfully completed a certified diver's course and <br />self paid the expenses shall be given a pay increase of twelve dollars ($12.00) bi-weekly. <br />33.02 An employee of the District who has successfully completed a certified Smoke Diver's <br />Course and self paid the expenses shall be given a pay increase of twelve dollars ($12.00) <br />bi-weekly. <br />33.03 A. <br />An employee of the District who has completed a total of eighty (80) hours in <br />courses approved by the Educational Committee will receive a pay increase of ten <br />dollars ($10.00) bi-weekly. The courses for which the employee seeks educational <br />incentive pay must be approved by the Educational Committee prior to <br />enrollment. There will be a maximum of four (4) eighty hour blocks per <br />employee. <br />B. The hours involved in the Fire Fighters State Minimum Standards Basic Recruit <br />Training are excluded from this agreement. <br />C. The Educational Committee will consist of the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief and <br />two (2) members of the bargaining unit. Should the vote of the Committee end in <br />a tie, the Fire Chief shall be given another vote to break the tie. This committee <br />will establish criteria for sections 33.08 and 33.09. <br />33.034 All personnel that are certified in Heavy Rescue as of 09/30/85 will continue to receive <br />twelve dollars ($12.00) bi-weekly for that certification <br />33.065 The incentives offered in this article (from 33.01 through 33.05) shall be available only <br />for employees who have qualified for the particular incentives by March 24, 1994. <br />
