ATTACHMENT E-6 <br /> RESOLUTION 2015- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br /> FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING A <br /> GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA INLAND <br /> NAVIGATION DISTRICT WATERWAYS ASSISTANCE <br /> PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND REPAIRS <br /> TO BE MADE TO ROUND ISLAND RIVERSIDE <br /> PARK. <br /> WHEREAS, Indian River County owns, operates and maintains Round Island <br /> Riverside Park located on the eastern shore of the Indian River Lagoon in southern <br /> Indian River County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Indian River County is interested in carrying out the following <br /> described project for the enjoyment of the citizenry of Indian River County and the State <br /> of Florida: <br /> Project Title: Round Island Riverside Park Improvement/Repairs <br /> Total Estimated Cost: $ 278,000 <br /> Brief Description of Project: Replacement of observation/fishing boardwalk (380 <br /> linear feet, 2,600 sq. feet), Rebuild and repave boat ramp approach (± 4,800 sq. yards), <br /> parking for kayakers and day users (±2,500 sq. yards), and the park driveway access ± <br /> 2,100 sq. yards); and <br /> WHEREAS, Florida Inland Navigation District financial assistance is required for <br /> the program mentioned above. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br /> 1. That the Round Island Riverside Park Improvement/Repairs project described <br /> above is hereby authorized and approved, <br /> 2. Be it further resolved that said Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br /> County make application to the Florida Inland Navigation District in the amount of 32.4% <br /> of the actual cost of the project in behalf of said Board of County Commissioners of <br /> Indian River County. <br /> 3.
