2. <br />his activities for the month of October which was ordered filed with the Clerk. <br />RESOLUTION - FIXING THE BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' <br />DISTRICTS IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY# FLORIDA <br />Commissioner Stewart introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption# <br />to -wits <br />WHERE AS# the Constitution of the State of Florida provides that there shall be five <br />RESOLUTION - PERMAN:ENT SINGLE REGISTRATION SYSTEM <br />Commissioner Watts introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption <br />W'.wit s <br />WHEREAS# Chapter X5391 of the Laws of Florid+depted at the regular session of the <br />Florida Legislature in 1949 provides a permanent single registration system for the regis- <br />tration of electors to qualify them to vote in all general, primary and special elections# <br />g <br />including elections held in those municipalities which by Resolution shall elect to use such <br />system as set forth in such Chapter; and# <br />WHEREAS' said permanent single registration system becomes effective# under the <br />provisions of said Chapter 253919 on January 1st subsequent to the date the Board of County <br />Commissioners shall by Resolution# entered upon its minute99'adopt the systems and the Board <br />of County Commissioners of Indian River County# Florida, desiring to adopt said system and to <br />• <br />Districts in Indian River County as is evidenced by this Resolution; therefore# <br />the end thatjit shall be effective in said County on January 1, 1950' therefore# <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County# Florida# <br />that this Board does herewith adopt the permanent single registration system for the regis- <br />tration of electors in Indian River County.to qualify them to vote'in all general# primary <br />and special elections# including elections held in those municipalities which shall duly elect <br />to use such system# in and for Indian River County and as the system for registration of <br />electors in said County and all as provided by said Chapter 253919 and to the end that said <br />system shall become effective in Indian River County on January 1# 1950. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESD LVED that the,system herewith adopted shall be in lieu of and <br />shall supercede any other system of registration of electors in said County and whether <br />heretofore provided by local act or otherwise. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be duly entered upon the minutes of this <br />Board and of this regular meeting of this Board held this November lst# 1949. <br />Motion for the adoption of the Resolution was made by Commissioner Woods and <br />unanimously carried. <br />RESOLUTION - FIXING THE BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' <br />DISTRICTS IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY# FLORIDA <br />Commissioner Stewart introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption# <br />to -wits <br />WHERE AS# the Constitution of the State of Florida provides that there shall be five <br />(5) County Commissioners' Districts in each County and that said Districts shall be as nearly <br />as possible equal in proportion to papulation and that the Board of County Commissioners <br />of the respective Counties shall from time to time fix the boundaries of such Districts; and# <br />WHEREAS' by reason of the adoption by this Board of Chapter 25391 of the Acts of <br />the Florida Legislature in 19499 it has been necessary to revise# alter# change and fix the <br />g <br />boundary lines of Election Districts and precincts in said County and by reason thereof it <br />is now necessary to fix the boundary lines of the County Commissioners' Districts in said <br />County and to the end that no election district in said County shall be partly in one County , <br />Commissioners District and partly in another; and# <br />WHEREAS.# all five (5) members of the Board are present at this meeting of said <br />Board and have agreed unanimously on the fixing of boundaries of County Commissioners' <br />Districts in Indian River County as is evidenced by this Resolution; therefore# <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the boundaries of the County Commissioners' Districts in <br />Indian River County# Florida# be and the same are herewith fixed# effective immediately# as <br />
