WHEREAS, the State Road Department has requested this County Board to designate <br />also the purpose fbrwwhich, and the roads on which, this County's 80% surplus gas tax and <br />Federal Aid Secondary allocations should be spent for construction and improvement; and, <br />WHEREAS, the State Road Department is required by law to adopt an annual budget of <br />maintenance and construction work designed to use all except ten percent of its anticipated <br />income during the year, which budget must be set up in January and adopted in February of each <br />year; and, <br />WHERE, the State Road Department cannot prepare and adopt a budget until it has <br />ascertained and determined the desire of the Board of County Commissioners, in the form of <br />a Resolution, as to how this County's Secondary Road funds should be used; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is estimated that the total Secondary Road funds accruing to this County <br />for the year 1950 will be $136,836.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the State Road Department is hereby requested <br />and directed to use such funds as follows: <br />1. <br />For construction of State Road AlA from Beachland Boulevard in the City of Vero <br />Beach, Florida, South to the South County line a distance of approximately 7.5 <br />miles to an amount not to exceed $70,000.00 of the above mentioned funds. <br />2. <br />CLEMANS AVENUE <br />From State Road 60 at the Northwest Corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 3, <br />Township 33 South, Range 39 East, South to County line a distance of approximately <br />5.5 miles. <br />3. <br />'LATERAL "A" ROAD <br />SRDNO. 505 <br />From State Road 60 North to State Road 510 (Wabasso Road) a distance of approximately <br />7.5 miles. <br />4. <br />WEST WABASSO ROAD <br />ARDNO. 510 <br />From the Southeast corner of Southwest corner Section 26, Township 31 South, Range 38 <br />East, 1/2 mile West and 1 1/4 miles North to S R D No. 512 (Fellsmere Road) a distance <br />of Approximately 1.8 miles. <br />5. <br />LATERAL "B" ROAD <br />From State 'Road 60 at Northwest 8orner of Southwest quarter of Section 4, Township 33 <br />South, Range 39 East, South to South County Line a distance of approximately 5.5 miles. <br />6. <br />SOUTH GIFFORD ROAD <br />From S R D No. 510 at Northwest Corner of Southwest quarter of Section 29 East to State <br />Road No. 5 a distance of approximately 3.3 miles. <br />7. <br />SOUTH WINTER BEACH ROAD <br />From S R D No. 510 at Northwest Corner of Southwest quarter of Section 8, Township 32 <br />South, Range 39 East, east to State Road No. 5 a distance of approximately 2.6 miles. <br />
