Brown <br /> Director, Office of Mana• - - t& Budget <br /> Date: June 29, 2015 <br /> Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 018 <br /> Description and Conditions <br /> The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following: <br /> 1. The Building Department review and inspection workload is up significantly as well as <br /> revenues. The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $35,000 to fund 2 <br /> building inspector positons for the remainder of the fiscal year. These new positions were <br /> initially requested in the FY 15/16 budget process and will be included in the County <br /> Administrator's recommended budget. <br /> 2. The Health Department received a $100,000 grant and has allocated $60,000 for a playground <br /> at the MLK Walking Trail. The attached entry appropriates funding to the General <br /> Fund/Parks/Other Machinery & Equipment. <br /> 3. The IRC North County Office is in need of a replacement telephone system. The attached <br /> entry appropriates $1,750 from MSTU/Cash Forward-Oct 1st. <br /> 4. On June 16, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Mediated Settlement <br /> Agreement to acquire property owned by Laurel Homes needed for 66th Avenue <br /> improvements. The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $555,000 from <br /> Optional Sales Tax/Cash Forward-Oct 1st. <br /> 5. On January 25, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners executed Developers Agreement <br /> with Hutton Growth One, LLC providing $30,000 to the County to assist in funding the 45th <br /> Street Canal Enclosure. The attached entry appropriates this contribution. <br /> 50 <br />
