required for said portion of said Section, and that the Chairman and the Clerk of this Board <br />be and they are hereby authorized and'directed to execute and deliver, on behalf of said <br />County to said Department, the contract in the form hereto attached; and be it further <br />RESOLVED, that the Attorney for this Board be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to proceed to take the necessary steps for the County to acquire in the name of <br />said County bydonation, purchase of condemnation said rights of way and easements for said <br />portion of said Section, and to prepare in the name of said County by its County Commissioners <br />all condemnation papers, affidavits and pleadings, and prosecute all Condemnation proceedings <br />to judgment; and said Attorney is further authorized to have prepared at said County's ex- <br />pense, and furnish to the Department, the abstract search provided for in said contract. <br />TO THE HON. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER CO., <br />VERO BEACH, FLORIDA. <br />Gentlemen: <br />I, J. P. Geyer, of the County of Indian River State of Florida, being the owner of <br />Tax Sale Certificate No. 106 dated the 1st day of June 1948, in the sum of $19.97 covering <br />the following described property, to -wits <br />Lot 12, Block 6, Royal Court Subdivision <br />hereby make application to your Honorable Body 'to issue a duplicate Tax Sale Certificate in <br />lieu of the original described herein for the fallowing reasons: <br />(1) That said Tax Sale Certificate was purchased by me at the regular sale of <br />1948 for which I paid the sum of 119.97. <br />(2) That said Tax Sale Certificate, or any interest therein, has not been hypothe- <br />cated, sold, assigned, transferred or delivered by me and I. have received no consideration <br />therefor. <br />(3) That said Tax Sale Certificate has been lost or destroyed and that I have made <br />diligent search and am unable to locate said certificate. <br />(4) That if duplicate Certificate is issued in lieu thereof and the original should <br />at any time be located, the same will be surrendered to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of <br />Indian River County for cancellation. <br />(5) That 'I, J. P. Geyer, as a further consideration acknowledge myself held and <br />firmly bound unto Douglas Baker, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian River County, and his <br />successors in office, in the sum of $39.94, being double the amount of the face value of <br />said Tax Certificate, for payment whereof well and truly to be made, I bind myself, heirp, <br />executors and administrators firmly by these presents should said Certificate be presented <br />by any person whomsoever, assigned or otherwise, for payment or application for Tax Deed <br />thereon. <br />1 solemnly swear, or affirm, that the statements contained herein in support of my <br />application for issuance of duplicate Tax Sale Certificate, are true and correct.
