nm <br />Road and Bridge Superintendents to meet with Honorable Merrill P. Barbers member of the <br />State Road Departments regarding rights-of-way on U. S. #1 south of the curve in the <br />southern, portion of the County. <br />Chairman Stewart advised the Board an additional sum of $176.07 was reg1Q69ted as <br />the County's portion of the cost of the dedication of the Merrill P. Barber Bridges and <br />upon motion of Commissioner Hamilton~ seconded by Commissioner Waddell and unanimously <br />carried, this amount was ordered paid to the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce for said purpose. <br />Douglas Bakers Clerks was instructed to write a letter to the City of Vero Beach <br />and to the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce requesting them to please not obligate the Board <br />of County Commissioners for the purpose of making expenditures in behalf of the Brooklyn <br />Dodgers without first consulting the Board regarding same* <br />the several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were ex- <br />amined and found'eorrectj were approved and warrants issued in settlement of same. M.! Tuesday, p,. y'. 1' 19519 with the following <br />members presents Tom N. Stewart, Chairman; W. C. Graves' Jr -9 H. C. Watts, Aubrey L. Waddell, <br />and J. J. P. Hamiltons Also present were L. B. O'Steen,' Sheriff; George Heath, Attorney <br />from the firm of Mitchell, Smith & Mitchell; and Douglas Bakers Clerk. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and the same were approved upon motion <br />of Commissioner Hamilton seconded by Commissioner Vaddeil and unanimously carried. <br />A. I <br />Anne Christensent County Welfare Case Workers appeared before the Board and <br />made a report of her activities for the month of Aprils 1951. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Hamilton9 seconded by Commissioner Gravgs and carried, Douglas Bakers Clerk$ was instructed <br />to receive an additional $10.00 from Perry Stacy County Road and Bridge Employee to be <br />applied on the hospital account for Mrs. Stacyt and that the remainder of said account would <br />be paid by or applied on the hospital account of the County. ,,� <br />'Ten -dollars was received from Mrs. Christensen on the Rosco Chapman account and <br />same deposited in the General Revenue Fund. <br />County Deed #328 was executed under chapter 23831, Acts of 1937. <br />Notary Public Bond for Roy Schick in the sum of $500.00 with St. Paul Mercury <br />Indemnity Company of St. Paul Minn.9 was approved April 21, by Douglas Bakers Clerk Circuit <br />Courts as provided by law. <br />Notary Public Bond for Charles A.
