Ovens of Wabasso discussed the matter of a caution or blinker./at the cross roads in Wabasso, and Commissioner Stewart appointed Commissioner Hamilton and Watts as a_ committee to work with Rev. Owens in the matter and to confer with and obtain the County Attorney's opinion when all information had been obtained -together with the costs and report back to this Board. Attorney George Heath was instructed to prepare a Notice Inviting Bids on address plates for the office of the Supervisor of Registration. Notion was made by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried as to the advertising for bids. A letter was received from J. A.,Thompson, County School Superintendent,with regard to the need of some grading, filling, leveling, etc. of the school grounds between the present buildings and the football field, requesting the use of City and County equipment, and that the school Board would pay the cost of operation of such equipment. A committee considting and Chairman Stewart,/E. E. Carter, Road and Bridge Superintendent, was selected from this Board to work with Superintendent Thompson and Councilman Lou Berger of the City of Vero Beach, with the understanding that said committee would have power to act after mutual and satis- factory plans and arrangements had been made. A letter was received from the Indian River County chapter American Red Cross re - questing funds to purchase a new station wagon stating that the Rotary Club and City of Vero Beach had made contributions for the purchase of the station wagon. Upon motion of Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried, the Board agreed to contribute a like amount for the purchase of the station wagon as was contributed by the City of Vero Beach. Said amount, however, was not stated. The Board authorized and instructed E. E. Carter, Road and Bridge Superintendent, for to make or have prepared stencils to be used/by designating certain roads within the County and to print the name of Indian River County on County machinery, ad equipment. Homer Fletcher, Tax Assessor, appeared before the Board and requested permission to purchase new sheets and a binder for his plat book records, stating that same could be purchased from the Morse Prij tia- gCompany for approximately $140.00. Upon motion of Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Waddell and carried, said request was granted. E S 4 L U T 0 S - REGULATING CLOSING HQURS ,AS TO SLE OF ALM= BEVERAGES Commissioner Hamilton introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption as follows, to -wits BE* IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Floridag that said Board does herewith independently regulate the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages within the territory -of Indian River County, Florida, not included within any municipality$ as follows, to -wits 1.. No alcoholic beverages, that isp all beverages containing more than One per cent (1%) bf-alcohol by weighty may be sold,.consumed-or served or permitted to be served or consumed in any place holding a license under the State Beverage Department of Florida be- tween the hours of 1s00 o'clock A. M. and 6s00 o'clock A. M. of each week day 2. No alcoholic beverages containing alcohol of more than One per cent (1%) by weight and not more than Fourteen per cent (14%) by weight and wines, regardless of alcohol content, may be sold, consumed or served or permitted to be served or consumed in any place
