Reserve for Contingencies 1,587.40 <br />TOTAL $ 39037.40 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all items of estimated expenses of the Fine and For- II <br />feiture Fund not amended as hereinbefore set forth shall remain in the budget as originally <br />i4dopted and that all of said original budget as originally adopted shall remain in full force <br />and effect except as herewith amended. <br />Upon being duly seconded by Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr., the same was unani- <br />Imously adopted. <br />SMALL CLAIMS COURT RESOLUTION <br />Commissioner W. C. Graves, Jr. introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption, to -wit: <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 26920, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1951, establishes in each -County, <br />!in the State of Florida a Court to be known as the Small Claims Court; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Act provides that no Small Claims Court shall be activated unless <br />Mand until the Board of County Commissioners of the respective Counties shall determine that there <br />is a sufficient local need for such Court and shall evidence such need by the adoption of a <br />''Resolution setting forth such need; and, <br />WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with this Board, signed by not less than 25 <br />!registered voters of Indian River County, Florida, requesting such activation; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held with respect thereto at which said hear - <br />ging a large number of the registered voters of Indian River County evidenced a local need for <br />such Court in Indian River County, Florida; and, <br />j WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, have <br />;and do herewith determine that there is sufficient local need for a Small Claims Court in Indian <br />J,River County, Florida; Now, therefore, <br />,a <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />that there shall be activated a Small Claims Court in Indian River County, Florida. if <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Board shall file a certified co f <br />PY o <br />this Resolution with the Secretary of State of the State of Florida within 7 days after the adop4 <br />s <br />jtion of this Resolution. ;I <br />Upon being duly seconded by Commissioner J.
