Three public hearings were held and <br />plenty of time was available for public input. She stated that the lease on the School Board <br />building goes to 2010. She emphasized that the 2020 estimated Indian River County <br />population of 150,000 came from the Bureau of Economic & Business Research, University <br />of Florida in Gainesville BEBR does projections for the entire state and has a very good <br />past record. As to the space for the Supervisor of Elections, the square footage specified in <br />the study was for office space alone and did not include storage space for the new Sequoia <br />machines which require a special environment. She also mentioned that Mr Heady had <br />gone far afield from what she had thought he wanted to talk about. <br />When Mr. Heady asked to respond, Vice Chairman Tippin advised it was not a debate <br />and asked Mr. Heady to take a seat. <br />9.C.
