This <br />vendor had been providing Indian River County with uniform service since October I, 1995. <br />The original contract was a result of piggybacking the Palm Beach County bid # 91-059. Due <br />to their continued good service, staff received Board approval to renew the contract in its <br />entirely through September 30, 2001. <br />• Establish an Open End Contract for the period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2003 <br />with the recommended vendor. During the previous budget the combined total for <br />departments with uniform service was approximately $72,000.00. The new contract prices for <br />weekly service reflects a 17% overall savings against the 2000 prices. <br />• Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for three (3) additional one (1) year <br />periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the <br />determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously awarded Bid 94005 to Aramark <br />Uniform Services, a division of Aramark Uniform & <br />Career Apparel, Inc., as recommended by staff. <br />OCTOBER 23, 2001 <br />BID DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />-17- <br />CO ITO V <br />$6,115.20 <br />
