Baird, Assistant County Administrator <br />October 2, 2002 <br />Jail Land Purchase <br />Indian River County will need to expand the jail in the near future. The expansion of the <br />jail at the current site cannot be done without purchasing additional property. On August 6, <br />2002 the Board of County Commissioners authorized staff to obtain an appraisal on the thirty <br />(30) acre mdustrial-zoned parcel east of the jail owned by Tom Hammond Armfield & Watner <br />appraised the property at $30,000 per acre. <br />October 8, 2002 <br />31 <br />• <br />
