The <br />ordinance allows them by special exception but there is also control through the master plan. <br />Commissioner Macht commented that even stealth sites may not be appropriate in <br />conservation areas because the tower's mere presence would detract from the aesthetics. <br />Commissioner Ginn was very impressed with the stealth technology. <br />There was a brief discussion about fire towers which are no longer necessary now that <br />GPS images are available. <br />Commissioner Adams mentioned there is an attempt to move an antique fire tower <br />to the Fairgrounds for historic purposes. <br />Mr Edwards mentioned that in regard to the stealth technology, we have not seen <br />anything yet as to what will be available. The future technology will be far more advanced <br />because the providers are hearing the concerns of government bodies and know this is an <br />issue. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously approved moving <br />forward to the final master plan. <br />It was understood that the finalized Wireless Master Plan will come before the Board <br />at a meeting in November. <br />11.C.1.
