Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 004 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of January 8, 2002: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: January 8, 2002 <br />SUBJECT: Miscellaneous <br />B udget Amendment 004 <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Baird <br />Assistant County Administrator <br />FROM: Jason E. Brown <br />B udget Manager <br />Description and Conditions <br />J <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. The Honda Department of Labor has invoiced the County for unemployment compensation claims <br />in various departments. The attached entry appropriates funding for these charges. <br />2. On January 8, 2002, the Board of Commissioners approved the use of funds from the Law <br />Enforcement Trust Fund to support the Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (D.A.R.E.). <br />The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $7,444 from the Law Enforcement Trust <br />Fund. <br />3. On May 2, 2000, the Board of Commissioners authorized the Chamber of Commerce to solicit <br />proposals for a tourism study on behalf of the County. The attached entry carries forward the <br />remaining funds for completion of this project to the current year. <br />4. Several departments have received trucks and other equipment during the current fiscal year that <br />were budgeted last year. The attached entry appropriates funding for these items. <br />5. On November 29, 2001, the County completed the issuance of the Series 2001 General Obligation <br />Land Acquisition Bonds. As a result of this issuance, there will be a debt service payment on July <br />1, 2002.
