During fiscal year 2000/2001, the Board of Commissioners approved grant agreements totaling <br />$477 904 for the implementation of an electronic document technology system for the Nineteenth <br />Judicial Circuit. The attached entry is necessary to move these funds forward to the current year <br />for the completion of this project. <br />7. In 1995, the City of Sebastian established the Sebastian Riverfront Redevelopment District. Indian <br />River County pays tax incremental values on properties within this district. The final calculation <br />from the Property Appraiser was higher than the original calculation received during the <br />development of the 2001/2002 budget. A budget amendment is necessary to provide for this <br />difference. Funding in the amount of $26,206 will be provided from General Fund contingencies. <br />8. On August 31, 2001 Indian River County received a Born to Read Grant under the Library <br />Services and Technology Act in the amount of $53,493. The attached entry appropriates these <br />grant funds. <br />9. The Budget Office underestimated sick incentive for the Law Library. The attached entry <br />appropriates funding from General Fund contingencies. <br />10. Youth Guidance has received donations totaling $9,107.53 to fund a part time temporary clerk <br />position. These donations will fund the position for the entire 2001/2002 fiscal year. <br />11. On January 8, 2002, the Board of Commissioners approved the fiscal year2001/2002 EMS County <br />Awards grant agreement. The attached entry appropriates these grant funds in the amount of <br />$43,569. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously approved <br />Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 004, as recommended in the <br />memorandum. <br />January 15, 2002 <br />22 <br />r!d ! 1 i i-• <br />CI\ IL.I <br />
