He noted that this is a critically eroded area and is eroding at a rate <br /> of <br /> approximately 2 to 3 feet per year . The erosion has drastically increased since 1986 and . <br /> even at 1 - foot per winter, the bluff line will soon be within 10 feet of the proposed building . <br /> At that time , the owners will be asking for a seawall . This structure would be 53 feet <br /> seaward of Mr . and Mrs . Brown ' s home .
