They have been providing a service to the county since the early 1950s and plan to <br /> continue that relationship . The Humane Society spent a lot of effort on long- range planning <br /> about 7 years ago and in 1997 began a capital campaign to build a new adoption center, <br /> continuing to use the present facility to house unwanted animals .
