Humane Society has also been very cooperative . Relocation costs of $ 1 , 158 ,013 would <br /> be very hard for the County to pay. However, staff feels that the County could be of assistance <br /> by purchasing the present 10 acre site at 4701 41 " Street and assist with the paving cost at the <br /> new location . The costs would be as follows : <br /> Source <br /> Buy Existing Site Back $ 1451000 Optional Sales Tax <br /> Lift Station Reimbursement $ 35 , 000 Optional Sales Tax <br /> Paving 77" St . — Humane Soc . portion $ 20 . 0001 ' Gas Tax <br /> Total $ 200 , 000 <br /> Total cost of paving 77" Street between 58 `h Ave . and 66' Ave. is more than $400, 000 . Other <br /> adjacent property owners will be assessed for their share of the paving. <br /> County Ordinances require the payment of water and sewer stay with the property . <br /> Humane Society has 13 ERU ' s of sewer capacity reserved and 3 ERU ' s of water capacity <br /> reserved on the 4701 4151 Street site for the current building . Based on the unusual and <br /> extenuating circumstances , staff is requesting the Board of County Commissioners make an <br /> exception and transfer the existing water and sewer impact fee credits to the new location . <br /> Assistant County Administrator Joe Baird stated that the Humane Society has a <br /> contract for a new piece of property at 77t ' Street between 56 " and 58 " Avenues , adjacent <br /> to the Fairgrounds . He asked the Board to amend the recommendation to consider having <br /> the Utility Department refund the ERU deposit funds and having the County pay for the new <br /> capacity required by the Humane Society at their new location .
