Kafer, Jr., P.E., County Enginee <br />SUBTECT: CR 512 — IRC Project No. 9611, I-95 to Rosel)indRoad <br />REQUEST FOR PARTIAL RELEASE OF RETAINAGE <br />DATE: November 6, 2001 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County entered into a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Masteller & <br />Moler, Inc. on January 21, 1997. The original compensation amount was $471,500.00. Four (4) <br />amendments to the agreement have been executed which changed the compensation amount to <br />$696,518.00. On August 21, 2001 the Board of County Commissioners approved partial release of <br />retainage (5%) for the overall Design and Supplemental Services, Task 1, in the amount of <br />$211000.00. <br />Amendment No. I, executed July 21, 1998, added the following to the agreement: <br />Task II Construction Phasing $97550.00 <br />Task III Drainage Design Expansion $4,100.00 <br />Task IV City of Sebastian, Additional Services <br />related to Bloosom Ditch Diversion System $15,260.00 <br />Amendment No. 4, executed September 19, 2000, added a feasibility study to expand Stormwater <br />Basin #A for a lump sum of $23,550.00. <br />Work on Task II is complete and $8,595.00 has been paid to date. We have $955.00 remaining (10% <br />retainage) to pay_ Task III is complete and $3,690.00 has been paid. We have $410.00 remaining <br />(10% retainage ) <br />to pay. Task IV is complete and $13,734.00 has been paid. <br />We have $1,526.00 <br />remaining (10% <br />retainage) to pay. The Feasibility Study is complete at 60% ($14,130.00) <br />and <br />$12,1287.25 has <br />been paid. The Feasibility Study will not be completed to <br />100% <br />as it has been <br />determined the Stormwater <br />Basin #A expansion wall not be feasible. We have <br />$2,001.75 <br />remaining <br />to <br />be paid <br />(10% <br />retainage for the <br />work <br />completed). <br />The Consultant is requesting a partial release of retainage for Tasks II, III & IV and final payment <br />and release of retainage for the Feasibility Study. Payment for 5% of the retaininage for Tasks IL III <br />and IV will be $477.50, $205.00 and $763.00 respectively, and full payment for Feasibility Study is <br />$2,001.75 for a total of $3,447.25.
