RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 098 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA as follows: <br />1. Previous designations by the Board of certain institutions as official depositories <br />of County funds are hereby ratified and affirmed. <br />2. Manual signatures shall not be required on any checks, warrants, and other <br />orders for the payment of money drawn in the name of the Board for the purpose <br />of salary and other compensation to or for any Board employees. <br />3. Each designated depository of Indian River County funds is hereby authorized <br />and directed to honor checks, warrants, and other orders for payment of money <br />drawn in the name of the Board, including those payable to the individual orders <br />of any person or persons whose name or names appear thereon, when beanng <br />both the facsimile signature of the Clerk and the facsimile signature of the <br />Chairman of the Board, when any such check warrant, or other order for the <br />payment of money in less than or equal to the sum of three thousand dollars <br />($3,000). <br />4. Except as set forth hereinabove, if a check, warrant, or other order for the <br />payment of money drawn in the name of the Board exceeds the sum of three <br />thousand dollars ($3 000) designated depositories are authorized and directed <br />to honor checks, warrants, and other orders for payment of money drawn in the <br />name of the Board, only when such check, warrant, or other order for payment of <br />money bears both the facsimile signature of the Chairman of the Board and the <br />facsimile signature of the Clerk, and further bears the manual signature of any <br />one of the Chairman, Vice Chairman Clerk, or one of the Deputy Clerks <br />designated in this Resolution. <br />5. The Board hereby designates Mary Louise Scheidt, Deputy Clerk, and Cindy Jo <br />Carlsward, Deputy Clerk, as the only two (2) Deputy Clerks authorized to sign <br />checks, warrants or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the name <br />of the Board where this Resolution requires the manual signature of one of the <br />designated Deputy Clerks. <br />6. The manual and facsimile signatures of the herein designated officers appear <br />on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein in its <br />entirety. <br />7. The signatories named on the attached Exhibit "A" are hereby authorized to <br />execute any and all signature cards and agreements as requested by the <br />respective banking institutions designated as official depositories by the Board. <br />8. The use of facsimile signatures is as authorized by Section 116.34, Florida <br />Statutes (2002), the "Uniform Facsimile Signature of Public Officials Act " <br />9. Resolution 2002-001 of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br />is hereby rescinded in its entirety. <br />10.
