<br /> BACKGROUND :
<br /> Attached is a memorandum regarding Change Order # 5 filed by Bill Bryant & Associate , Inc . It
<br /> is for two particular items both of which are deductions from the contract price . .
<br /> The first need deals with the deletion of a planned door. This item is identified as request # 5 and
<br /> is a deduction for 5340 . 00 . The second item identified as request #6 involves an optional
<br /> lighting package . The savings for this change are S1 1 , 400 . 007and will be a deduction.
<br /> The total deduction of these two items is S 11 , 740 . 00 . The change order as submitted by the
<br /> contractor has been reviewed and recommended for approval by the supervising architect . This
<br /> will bring the amended contract down to 51 , 611 , 35745 .
<br /> RECOMMENDATION :
<br /> In light of the needed reasons identified for these changes , the Change Order # 5 has been
<br /> reviewed and recommended for approval by the supervising architect, and staff recommends
<br /> approval of Change Order # 5 .
<br /> ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams , SECONDED BY
<br /> Commissioner Tippin , the Board unanimously approved
<br /> Change Order # 5 to the contract with Bill Bryant & Associates ,
<br /> Inc . , as recommended in the memorandum .
