Chandler, County Administrator <br /> FROM : Thomas Frame, General Services Director -r c4i <br /> SUBJECT: Phase I Study Analysis of Fellsmere School with Architect John H. Dean & <br /> Associates, P. A. , A. I. A. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> On October 17, 2000, the Board of County Commissioners entered into an Interlocal Agreement <br /> with the City of Fellsmere and a lease agreement with the Cite to use the building as it <br />is <br /> improved. To begin the work pursuant to the agreement, the County Administrator and I met <br /> with John Dean, the architect, who has done extensive analysis of the school . As a result of that <br /> meeting it was agreed to initiate a Phase one study by the Architect prior to entering into a more <br /> detailed design contact. <br /> This agreement would provide for a re-evaluation of prior reports and studies and set for a scope <br /> of work and detailed and prioritized list of work to accomplished among other requirements . <br /> The agreement is for work to be billed monthly by submitting invoices against the proposed <br /> hourly billing charges contained within the agreement . A not to exceed amount is proposed not <br /> to exceed $20,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION : <br /> Staff recommends approval of the Phase I agreement with John H . Dean & Associates, P.A. , <br /> A.
