11.Ge2. <br />As specified in the County Code Sections 952.07(11)(a)(5) and 95107(l6)(a)(1), an updated <br />gravity model is to be maintained by the County for use in determining the traffic distribution <br />and traffic assignment associated with new residential and commercial projects. <br />The County requested quotes from four consultant firms who are familiar with the County <br />Gravity Model. Two firms responded. The lowest quote was from Florida Database Systems, <br />Inc. (FDSI) who proposed a complete gravity model update (including model testing) for <br />$8,450. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Authorize County staff to issue a purchase order to FDSI, the low bidder, to proceed <br />with the gravity model update. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the proposal and cancel the project. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS & FUNDING <br />Staff recommends Alternative No. 1 - issuance of purchase order to FDSI to proceed with the <br />gravity model update.
