(Emergency <br />Services District Meeting) Grant Resolution -Approval of FY 2000/2001 EMS County <br />Awards Grant, Purchase of Capital and Operating Equipment with Non -Matching EMS <br />Grant Funds. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Vice Chairman Ginn, the Board unanimously made the above <br />additions and change to the Agenda. <br />S.A. PROCLAMATION HONORING DOUGLAS C. BOURNIO_ UE AS <br />FLORIDA OUTSTANDING AGRICULTURIST FOR 2000 <br />Chairman Adams read the following proclamation into the record and presented it to <br />Mr. Bournique who accepted it with thanks. He credited the growers, commented how lucky <br />we are to have agriculture as the backbone of this county, and predicted there would be a <br />great citrus crop this year. <br />HONORING DOUGLAS C. BOURNIQUE <br />AS FLORIDA OUTSTANDING <br />AGRICULTURIST FOR 2000 <br />WHEREAS, Douglas C. Boumique is currently the Executive Vice President and <br />General Manager of the Indian River Citrus League, which represents over 1,200 members <br />who grow commercial citrus on approximately 220.000 acres; and <br />WHEREAS, Doug represents the Indian River Citrus League in Washington and <br />Tallahassee on legislative matters that impact growers, and also lobbies on water -related <br />issues with the St Johns River Water Management District, the South Florida Water <br />Management District and the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Doug currently serves on Congressman Mark Foley's Agricukural Advisory <br />Committee, is a member and Chairman of the USDA Technical Advisory Committee for Trade <br />December 12, 2000 <br />�, <br />2 <br />s��ibpc�3� <br />
