His expertise has made him an invaluable member of the <br />Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program's Citizen's Advisory Committee, the County's <br />Fairgrounds Advisory Committee, a Director of the Vero Beach YMCA and a Director of the <br />Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce, and <br />WHEREAS, Doug Was in Indian River County, but is known through the Treasure <br />Coast, the state and the nation as the 'number one cheerleader for the world's finest citrus', <br />and his leadership to the agricultural industry has been invaluable to citrus growers and <br />packers throughout Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, in September of 2000, Doug Boumique was named as a Florida <br />Outstanding Agriculturist for 2000 from the Florida Association of County Agricultural Agents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that the Board expresses it appreciation <br />and admiration to Doug Boumique for his hard work and commitment to the community. <br />Adopted this 12th day of December, 2000. <br />BOARO OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />(t/Qmae� <br />Fran B. FALLS FOR HIS <br />SERVICE ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />Chairman Adams read the following proclamation into the record and presented it to <br />Mr. Falls who accepted with thanks for the opportunity and pleasure of having served the <br />County as a member of the PZC. <br />HONORING MONTE K. FALLS <br />FOR HIS SERVICE ON THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, Monte K. Falls has announced his resignation from the Indian River <br />County Planning and Zoning Commission effective December 14, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, he was appointed to serv <br />e on the Planning and Zoning Commission on <br />January 28, 1991; and <br />WHEREAS, Monte K. Falls was elected Chairman in January, 1999, and held that <br />position until January, 2000. He has displayed fairn <br />ess and integrity in confronting the <br />myriad problems that arise when dealing with planning and zoning issues; and <br />WHEREAS, Monte K.
