m application has been received from the Indian River Memorial Hospital requesting renewal of <br />the certificate. The EMS Director and Medical Director have reviewed the application and EMS <br />protocol with the EMS staff and certifies no reasons are known or perceived that would require a <br />public hearing pursuant to the established ordinance. <br />This provider, as with all others, will continue to be subject to the authority ofthe EMS Director and <br />the Medical Director for compliance with state statutes, administrative rules, and the Indian River <br />County Code of Laws and Ordinances. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff respectfully recommends that the Board of County Carnmissioners approve and renew the <br />Class B Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the Indian River Memorial Hospital <br />Medical Transport Service to be effective for a period of two (2) years. <br />Per prior authorization, the Class B Certificates limits services to interfacility advanced life support <br />and non emergency transport services. <br />ATTACIiMENTS: <br />Referenced application {Protocols on file at EMS Office) <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin temporarily absent} approved and <br />renewed the Class B Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity far the Indian River Memorial Hospital Medical <br />Transport Service to be effective for a period of two (2) years <br />limiting services to interfacility advanced life support and non- <br />emergency transport services, as recommended in the <br />memorandum. <br />ORIGINAL APPLICATION IS ON FILE <br />TN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARL7 <br />COPY OF CERTIFICATE IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />i r 111 <br />BIS L1 1A <br />
