The GFOA Research Center provided a proposal to serve as our consultant. The cost will be <br />$50,000. They will perform the following tasks: <br />1) Develop a project plan; <br />2) Review the County's RFP; <br />3) Identify software providers to receive the RFP; <br />4) Develop an evaluation plan; <br />5) Assist in the evaluation of responses to the RFP; <br />6) Prepare vendor demonstration scripts; <br />7) Attend on-site vendor demonstrations; <br />8) Assist in selection of two vendors for contract negotiations; <br />9) Assist in the development of a Statement of Work, a Software Contract, and an Implementation <br />Services Agreement; <br />10) Assist with parallel contract negotiations. <br />Using the GFOA Research Center as a consultant will be very beneficial for us. They have a great <br />knowledge of enterprise financial systems, can identify the vendors who would be able to met the <br />County's needs, and can help us obtain an enterprise financial system at the lowest cost. <br />I recommend that the Board provide $50,000 to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for a consulting <br />contract between the Clerk and the Goverment Finance Officers Association Research Center. <br />Funding to be from the current allocation of software funds in the Local Option Sales Tax Fund. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously provided <br />$50,000 to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for a consulting <br />contract between the Clerk and the Government Finance <br />Officers Association Research Center with funding from the <br />current allocation of software funds in the Local Option Sales <br />Tax Fund, as recommended in the memorandum. <br />lv <br />December 12, 2000 <br />S geed <br />CONTRACT�rB'E PLACED ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />25 <br />BKi16PG355 <br />
