ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Adams, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 2001-124 <br />authorizing the sale of Lot 18, Block 2, Dixie <br />Gardens Unit 4 to Indian River Homeless Services <br />Council, Inc., a Florida nonprofit corporation, <br />pursuant to Section 125.38, Florida Statutes (HUD <br />$1 Home). <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 124 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />SALE OF LOT 18, BLOCK 2, DIXIE <br />GARDENS UNIT 4 TO INDIAN RIVER <br />HOMELESS SERVICES COUNCIL, INC., A <br />FLORIDA NONPROFIT CORPORATION, <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.38, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, section 125.38, Florida Statutes, allows any organization <br />not for profit which may be organized for the purposes of promoting community <br />interest and welfare, who desires any real property that may be owned by a <br />county or by its Board of County Commissioners, to apply to the Board of County <br />Commissioners for a conveyance of such property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, if satisfied that such <br />property is required for such use and is not needed for county purposes, may <br />convey the same at private sale to the applicant for such price, whether nominal <br />or otherwise, as the Board of County Commissioners may fix, regardless of the <br />actual value of such property; and <br />DECEMBER 18, 2001 <br />-25- <br />
