MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Chaimian CTinrl, to deny the retluest <br />to rezone ±50.3 acres located between 9" Street <br />Southwest (Oslo Road) and 13" Street Southwest <br />(Kelly Road) along the east side of 31"Avenue from <br />RS -3. Single -Family Residential District (up to 3 <br />units/acre) to RS -6, Single -Family Residential <br />District (up to 6 units/acre) (,lack Ravech and others <br />Clark Development Co.), encouraging the <br />applicant to reapply based on the current zoning. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge supported the motion because of the concern of the <br />neighbors. <br />County Attorney Bangel suggested there be cited some explanation of how the <br />existing zoning accomplishes a public purpose, and Commissioner Macht stated that the <br />development would be incompatible with the existing neighborhoods on the east and that <br />the general welfare of the surrounding neighborhoods is a factor. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CAI LED THE QUESTION and <br />the Motion passed unanimously (denied the request <br />to rezone x-50.3 acres located between 9`h Street <br />Southwest (Oslo Road) and 13" Street Southwest <br />(Kelly Road) along the east side of 31;t Avenue from <br />RS -3, Single -Family Residential District (up to 3 <br />units/acre) to RS -h, Single -Family Residential <br />District (up to 6 units/acre) (Jack Ravech and others <br />- Clark Development Co.). <br />DECEMBER 4, 2001 <br />-90- <br />
