DOYLE, P .E . <br /> AND STAFFED CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER <br /> BY: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY UTILMES <br /> SUBJECT: DEVELOPER'S AGREEMENT WITH D IEL SCULLY <br /> PROPOSED WATER MAIN EXTENSION ALONG NORTH TROPICANA DR. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Mr. Daniel Scully is developing a single residential unit on North Tropicana Drive and desires County <br /> drinking water. In lieu of extending a single water service line that would only benefit Mr. Scully it is <br /> proposed that the County's water main on US Highway # I be extended to benefit Mr. Scully as well as <br /> promote future water distribution system connections with his neighbors . <br /> Therefore it is proposed that the Developer extend approximately 675 lineal feet 6-inch water main <br /> along North Tropicana Drive from an existing 16-inch water main on US Highway # I and terminate at the <br /> intersection of Palmetto Avenue. Exhibit-A of the attached Developer's Agreement shows a vicinity map <br /> of the North Tropicana Drive corridor along with the proposed water main improvement. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> As shown in Exhibit - B of the attached Agreement, the estimated cost sharing between the Developer <br /> and the Countv is as follows: <br /> Description Water Distribution Svstem <br /> Developer's S • $4,443 . 75 <br /> Countv's Share $21 ,556 .25 <br /> Total Cost $26,000 . 00 <br /> Construction of the water main will allow the Countv to coordinate future water main extension with <br /> adjacent properties . <br /> RECOMMENDATION : <br /> The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of Countv Commissioners <br /> approve the attached Developer's agreement as presented & authorize the Chairman to execute the same. <br /> DECEMBER 5 , 2000 BK 1 16 PG 31 1 <br /> -69 = <br />
