He stated how staff had discussed many alternatives with Mr. Marshall; however, he <br />preferred using a permanent changeable copy sign, which the County currently prohibits in various <br />corridors for aesthetic purposes. Director Keating said that after discussing this with Mr. Marshall, <br />and conducting further research, staff had determined that there is a possibility for changeable <br />copy signs that would fit into the corridor aesthetics. He asked the Board to authorize staff to <br />initiate a change to the Land Development Regulation (LDR) Amendment to allow permanent <br />changeable copy signs in corridors. <br />Director Stan Boling and Director Keating responded to questions and concerns <br />from the Board regarding corridor signage. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Flescher, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner O'Bryan, to direct staff to <br />initiate an LDR Amendment to allow changeable copy <br />signs in all designated corridor areas in the County. <br />Commissioner O'Bryan said he would like to see staff review the electronic version <br />of signage with text only, and no distractions. <br />Director Boling explained the SR 60 corridor parameters for signage. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motion <br />carried unanimously.
