Using these funds for the <br />purchase of a vehicle, total funding available is $39,747.50 <br />The following is a List of items earmarked for this agreement which will further enhance the Emergency <br />Management Divisions ability to adequately respond to and recover from disaster events: <br />2002 Ford Windstar Van -Bid #4043 $21,183.00 ($17,522.50 from grant <br />$3,660.50 from ins. settlement) <br />Jaguar 700P ProVoice Scan Portable 800MHz Radio $ 1,597.50 <br />Radio Programming, Vehicle Charger, and Installation, etc. $ 837.00 <br />Light bar, Siren, Controller, & Installation $ 1,690.50 <br />Required Emergency Management Conference Travel $ 6,000.00 <br />Lettering For Vehicle & Special Needs Trailer $ 3,039.50 <br />Replacement Laptop Computers For E.O.C. (5) $ 5,000.00 <br />HPLJ 1200 Graphics Printer $ 400.00 <br />Total $39,747.50 <br />Salaries are used as the county match for the EMPG. Therefore, no additional county funds are needed. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Board accept the funding provided by the Emergency Management Performance Grant <br />and approve the above listed expenditures to be funded from the Emergency Management Performance Grant, <br />Hazardous Matenals Emergency Planning Agreement, and damaged vehicle insurance payment. Furthermore, <br />staff recommends awarding IRC Bid #4043 seven passenger van to Don Reid Ford, Inc., as the sole bidder <br />meeting the specifications as set forth in the Invitation to Bid. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Award letter from Department of Community Affairs/Division of Emergency Management. <br />Bid Packet for IRC Bid #4043 seven passenger van <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (4-0, Chairman <br />Stanbridge absent) accepted the funding provided by the <br />Emergency Management Performance Grant and approved the <br />expenditures as listed in the memorandum to be funded from <br />February 12, 2002 <br />52 <br />Jr^ <br />• <br />
