PROXY DESIGNATION - ANNUAL MEETING OF <br />LANDOWNERS, INDIAN RIVER FARMS WATER CONTROL <br />DISTRICT <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of February 2, 2001: <br />To: Boar of County Commissioners <br />From. Paul G. Bangel, County Attorney -1113 .2 12- <br />Re: <br />2 <br />Re: Annual Meeting of Landowners, Indian River Farms Water Control District <br />Recommendation: <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners consider designating <br />a proxy to attend the annual meeting of landowners of Indian River Farms Water Control <br />District on Friday, February 23, 2001, at 2:00 p.m., and act on the Board's behalf. <br />Discussion: <br />Attached is an announcement of the Annual Meeting of Landowners of Indian River <br />Farms Water Control District, which is scheduled in the office of the District, 4400 20' <br />Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Friday, February 23, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. According to the <br />proxy form, Indian River County owns 1119 acres in the District. <br />County Attorney Bangel advised that the Commissioners had the option of sending <br />a proxy with or without direction. <br />Chairman Ginn was surprised to see how many acres (1,119) the County owned. <br />Commissioner Adams recommended that Vice Chairman Stanbridge be sent on behalf <br />of the Board. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Tippin temporarily absent) appointed Vice <br />Chairman Stanbridge to serve as the Board's proxy to the <br />Annual Meeting of Landowners of Indian River Farms Water <br />Control District on February 23, 2001, and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute same. <br />February 13, 2001 <br />146 <br />81(117PG158 <br />
