Kafer, Jr., P.E., County Engine <br />SUBJECT: <br />Second Amendment to the Professional Service Agreement for 66th Avenue <br />from 4`h Street to SR 60 — IRC Project Igo. 9310 <br />DATE: February 11, 2002 <br />DESCRIPTION A\D CONDITIONS <br />Indian River County entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Carter Associates, Inc. on <br />November 17, 1998 and approved the First Amendment to the agreement on November 2, 1999. <br />A re -design of portions of the project are needed in order to minimize right-of-way acquisition <br />impacts on property owners and minimize construction costs. <br />The scope of services for this Second Amendment would be to prepare preliminary plans to modify <br />the roadway alignment and reduce roadway width, where possible, from three lanes to two lanes, <br />with tum lanes. <br />A summary of the project design services are as follows: <br />FEBRUARY 19, 2002 <br />-59- <br />Bit <br />; i1 <br />73 <br />• <br />
