Grubbs <br />has already signed a contract with Brevard County, so we could possibly be competing with <br />Brevard for services from Grubbs. From his investigation, he believed that DRC is the one <br />he would recommend. He specified we would only use the company for those things which <br />we could not do ourselves. <br />Commissioner Ginn wanted an opportunity to review this contract more fully and <br />bring it back at the next meeting, but agreed to go forward since Commissioner Adams <br />expressed satisfaction and had gone over the matter very carefully and had several <br />conversations with Director King. Commissioner Ginn indicated that she will review the <br />additional information in the office; she would bring it back to the next meeting if necessary. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved <br />foregoing the RFP process and accepted Martin County's <br />recommendation from RFP 138-01 dated September 25, 2001 <br />and approved the Agreement with DRC, Inc. for disaster -related <br />services utilizing the terms and conditions included in the <br />Martin County/DRC, Inc. agreement. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />11.B.2.
