Chandler, County Administrator <br />THROUGH• John King, Director it• <br />Department of Eme cy rvices <br />FROM: Nathan McCollum, Emergency Management Coordinator <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: March 5, 2002 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Agreement Between Indian River County and DRC, Inc. for Disaster Public <br />Assistance Services. <br />As part of the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan for Indian River County, the Emergency <br />Management Division must adequately plan for recovery after any disaster. For the most part, our county and <br />municipal departments have recovered well from Hurricane David, Hurricane Erin, Hurricane Floyd, and <br />Hurricane Irene. However, should the county experience a catastrophic disaster event such as Hurricane <br />Andrew, Hurricane Mitch, Hurricane Hugo, or the September 11, 2001, attack, county govemment would <br />need aid in providing adequate recovery services. <br />March 19, 2002 <br />86 <br />r Obi <br />
