He thought perhaps it was simply a question of adding a minor <br />amendment to the existing ordinance, a reference to non-commercial like citizen band. The <br />amateurs' antennae, because of the size, is generally the one that is regulated. Citizen bands <br />are generally not an issue. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />Director Boling advised of two other minor changes. The first was on Page 260 <br />under (4); the notice to surrounding property owners will be sent out by County staff Also, <br />at the bottom of Page 264, f.2., the strike -through is to be eliminated on hotel, multifamily, <br />institutional, or public building. With the Board's concurrence, staff wanted to make those <br />changes. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously approved staffs <br />recommendation as follows: 1) directed staff to make any <br />desired changes to the proposed ordinance; and 2) authorized <br />staff to initiate an RFQ for RF engineering firms that do not <br />work for wireless service providers to implement the expert <br />review provisions of the proposed regulations; and 3) <br />announced its intention to adopt an ordinance and terminate the <br />existing moratorium on applications for new towers at its April <br />2, 2002, regular meeting. <br />March 19, 2002 <br />85 <br />• <br />
