DeBloisTAICP <br />Chief, Environmental Planning <br />DATE: February 22, 2001 <br />. <br />RE• <br />1 <br />Staff Report on the Status of Development Projects Adjacent to Jungle Trail <br />(Postponed from February 20, 2001 Commission Meeting) <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its meeting of March 6. 2001. <br />DFSCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Development along the scenic and historic Jungle Trail Greenway has accelerated over the past year, so <br />much so that it is anticipated that most. if not all, of the remaining undeveloped land along the Trail will <br />be developed (or formally conserved) within the coming year. The level of development, including a <br />number of Jungle Trail buffer violations over the past few months, has prompted concerns expressed by <br />many county residents At the March 6. 2001 Board meeting, staff will present a pictorial overview of <br />projects recently developed and projects now proposed. as they relate to and affect Jungle Trail frontage. <br />For reference, attached is a map and matrix summarizing the status of the Jungle Trail buffer along the <br />length of the Trail, including established development, development under construction and proposed <br />development. <br />March 6, 2001 <br />102 <br />BK 117PG361 <br />
