Board. <br />In response to Chairman Ginn, Deputy County Attorney Will Collins advised that <br />Code Enforcement fines are typically $250 for a first offense, and $500 for a second. <br />Director Keating explained that Code Enforcement is usually reactive, not <br />prospective. Upon finding a violation, the violator is given time to correct the problem, then <br />fined for each day it is not corrected. He will work with the Sheriff's office on this report. <br />Commissioner Adams was not in favor of putting out dumpsters, and Chairman Ginn <br />and Vice Chairman Stanbridge agreed, because they are not attractive and discourage people <br />from taking their trash to the transfer stations. <br />Mr. Wiggins suggested a camera be used at the transfer station on the days it is closed, <br />because there is a lot of dumping outside the gates. <br />Chairman Ginn advised that the County is in the process of evaluating the transfer <br />stations.
