<br /> SUBJECT: Approval of Services Agreement between Per- Se Technologies, Inc. , and Indian River County
<br /> for EMS Ambulance Billing Services
<br /> On February 6, 2001 , the Board authorized Staff to negotiate a service agreement with Per- Se Technologies,
<br /> Inc. , to perform EMS ambulance billing services for the County. Staff has met with Per- Se Technologies
<br /> officials on many occasions to negotiate specific billing procedures and release of information . The following
<br /> items were of concern to the Board and are included in the agreement :
<br /> 1 • Monthly fee is 6. 8% of the Net Collections made by Per- Se Technologies, Inc . , during the
<br /> previous month.
<br /> 2 . Monthly fee is 10 . 0% of the Gross Collections for invoicing prior to the agreement effective
<br /> date.
