• • <br />WHEREAS, National Drinking Water Week has been an internationally <br />celebrated event for the last 30 years. The event is recognized as one of the <br />outstanding methods of educating the public regarding conservation of one of our most <br />precious resources, water; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Utilities wishes to recognize and support <br />National Drinking Water Week on May 5th — 11th, so that we may continue to promote our <br />involvement in public and private drinking water issues, as well as continuing the Utility <br />Department's three -fold mission; to conserve, protect and preserve Indian River <br />County's water through educational programs, not only for this, but future generations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that the week of May 5 — 11, <br />2002, be designated as <br />NATIONAL DRINKING WATER WEEK <br />in Indian River County. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of April, 2002. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Ruth M.
