• <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SFCO\DFD BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved staffs <br />recommendation. (Waived the normal bid procedure and <br />authorized the staff to proceed with obtaining the modular <br />office from G. F Capital by authorizing the Chairman to <br />execute the Lease Agreement, subject to the following: 1) final <br />review and approval of the lease by the County Attorney's <br />office; 2) an annual lease amount not exceeding $70,740 <br />(including impact resistant windows and doors); and one-time <br />set-up charges by G. E. Capital not to exceed <br />out in the Memorandum.) <br />57,244; as set <br />Director Frame then advised that the Supervisor of Elections had information on a <br />security system and additional furniture. <br />Supervisor of Flections Kay Clem specified that the expansion of approximately <br />3,000 square feet will require additional furniture. An assessment of everything currently <br />in her office has been done and she will be able to use almost everything. When determining <br />the furnishings for the new modular building she kept in mind that they would be able to <br />be moved to a new County Administration Building. The cost of what will be required is <br />S36,000. She advised that she has also received two bids for a security system (required by <br />the Department of State) but she desired to obtain more. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />for discussion by Commissioner Macht, to approve the <br />Supervisor of Electionsrequest for up to $36,000 for furniture. <br />April 23, 2002 <br />67 <br />L;t <br />• <br />• <br />
