Those responses were reviewed and ranked/short - listed by the County ' s consultant <br /> selection comrruttee . As a result, four consultant firms were short- listed . On April 18 . 2001 , the <br /> selection committee interviewed the four short - listed consultant firms and ranked them . The <br /> Board is now to review the committee ' s ranking and take action on selecting a consultant and <br /> authorizing staff to negotiate a contract for consultant services . <br /> E <br /> ANALYSIS : <br /> I <br /> The consultant selection committee consisted of RoberrM . Keating (Community Development <br /> Director) , Stan Boling ( Planning Director) , Chris Kafer (County Engineer) , Nathan McCollum <br /> ( Acting Emergency Services Director) , and Terry Smith (Telecommunications Manager) . Based <br /> upon the RFP responses submitted, the committee short-list ranking of consultant firms was as <br /> follows : <br /> Short-List Rankine <br /> 1 . Miller & Van Eaton / Comp Comm (Washington D. C. / New Jersey) <br /> 2 . City Scape Siting and Management (Coral Springs , FL) <br /> 3 . Kreines and Kreines (California ) <br /> 4 . CBG Communications/Owl Engineering (Pennsylvania/Minnesota) <br /> 5 . CES Network Services (Texas ) <br /> 6 . Leibowitz & Associates (Miami, FL ) <br /> 7 . Beck Connect (Massachusetts) <br /> Firms that were ranked 1 -4 were contacted and asked to make a presentation before the <br /> consultant selection committee on April 18 , 2001 . All four firms confirmed their attendance and <br /> made presentations to and answered questions from the committee on April 18th . Based on the <br /> final round of review , the committee ranked the four firms as follows : <br /> 1 . City Scape Siting and Management <br /> 2. Miller & Van Eaton / Comp Comm <br /> 3 . CBG Communications / Owl Engineering <br /> 4 .
